I first began cheering in 7th grade and have continued with my cheerleading career all through junior high and high school. As a young girl, becoming a cheerleader was always a goal for me and I wasn't going to let anything get in the way of achieving that goal. I worked hard to earn my position on the team, and after I made it, I worked even harder. My team practiced at least 10 hours a week throughout the season. Unlike most high school sports our season is almost year round, with only 2 week of the year considered off season. Being apart of the team required a lot of time, hard work, and dedication from everyone. But in the end, it all paid off. We now hold the title of back-to-back state champions and are expected to take home the state championship title again this year.
